"So where the hell is this thing?"
Gierle is a small village in 'de Kempen' (Antwerp), Belgium. It is located between highway E34 and E313. The cities Antwerp and Eindhoven are only 50 km away.
So how do you get here?
By car:
Highway E34 Antwerp – Eindhoven: exit 21 (Lille – Malle – Herentals)
Highway E313 Liege – Antwerp: exit 23 (Geel West)
From both exits follow GPS address “Baan 10, 2275 Lille, Belgium” and from this point on there will be signs to the festival parking.
For those of you that use your smartphone, you can just press the map on the left of this statement!
DO NOT CONFUSE WITH LILLE IN THE NORTH OF FRANCE! You would not be the first person to make this mistake.
By train:
From Brussels (city centre or airport) and Antwerp: take train direction Turnhout.
Get off the train in Tielen.
Leave Tielen Station via platform 2 and follow gps trough this link.
By bus – public transport:
Getting any bus to Gierle is fine. From there, walk to Poeyelheide 6. You’ll be greeted by signs on your way!
By plane:
Brussels international Airport (80km)
Antwerp Airport (40km)
Eindhoven Airport – Holland (40km)
From Eindhoven Airport (NL) terminal: Take bus 400 or 401 to Eindhoven central station. From Eindhoven central station, take the intercity (IC) train 1136 and get off at Tilburg station. Walk over to platform B and get on bus 45 to Turnhout. From Turnhout take bus 21 direction Vorselaar and get off at stop ‘Kloosterstraat' in Gierle. Festival and campsite at 10-15 minutes walk.
