‍50 YEARS OF BELGIAN PUNK HISTORY!

On Saturday, October 24th, day two of our double-header weekend hits JK 't Hoekske in Gierle! Half a century of legendary Belgian punk royalty meets local heros and some of the highest-energy rock 'n' roll.

Starting in 2026, The Kids are celebrating half a century of punk in, as they put it, their 'Bloody Belgium'. Frontman and singer Ludo Mariman discovered the ideal form of expression in the genre back then and built an oeuvre of five studio albums and one live album. Back then, he probably never imagined he would later share the stage with iconic bands like the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, and New York Dolls at the Lokerse Feesten. But The Kids are by no means inferior to them. Especially their 1978 debut album, The Kids, has left an indelible mark on punk history, both in Belgium and beyond.
